Challenges
It appears social networking activities seem to go hand-in-hand with “challenges”.
At the time of writing this (1 Jan 2009), I had only been formally involved in 1 social networking challenge, and as it turns out started 1 solo a week ago, 1 yesterday and 1 today.
31 Days to a Better Blog – Chocolate Challenge
Some how I ended up participating in a 31 Day Blogging Challenge. This challenge was originally run by Problogger but the ante was upped when Sue Waters dangled chocolate as a reward for competing in and completing the challenge – hence the name extrapolation.
I entered about a week into the challenge and most certainly had some ground to make up.
I confess, to this day I still have not completed all 31 days
Regardless of not finishing, I regard this exercise as a pivotally defining experience for me in terms of experiencing real connectivity via social networking tools and activities. Most of these participants I am still networked to and touch base with on a regular basis.
I regard this experience as a significant event in my professional & personal life
Search my tags for 31daysBB for a look at what I did achieve!
Note: I do actually intend to finish it. The longest 31 days in history I suspect!
7 Days to Rediscovering your Blogging Groove
I lost my groove. I am soloing the 7 day program from Problogger, Darren Rouse to regain my blogging groove
I am working on the theory that the 7 days are not literally required to be consecutive!

365 Days
I had seen this around occasionally on flickr etc, and had a bit of a dig for the relevant group. This is the original 365 Days challenge from which there are now multiple derivatives.
The challenge?
“Take one self portrait each day for a year”
Sounds easy? I don’t think so! I LOATHE having my pic taken. Almost phobic about it, so this is going to be a more massive challenge than it appears.

Twitter 365 Project
Ok same as above, rinse and repeat, but I will be using a different image for this than the challenge above.
