Hi all – I am off to South Australia and then Port Lincoln first thing in the morning and will be offline for the rest of the week.
I will be having a few cleansing ales over a pub dinner [before we get on the boat tomorrow evening] while regaling [read scaring] those new to Great White Shark Diving with tales of the last trip. I have no doubt that after 2-3 beers, the sharks from last trip will undoubtedly be bigger than jaws!
To wet your whistle before I can load my new trip to Flickr, have a gander at these [taken in 2004]

It sounds like Laura [off in France] has been braver than I and removing herself totally from technology. To give you some idea what I have lugged across the country here are the contents of my suitcase: Digitial SLR Camera with 2Gb card [sorry 20 m down, 256 mb doesn't cut it], 80 Gb video ipod, recorder for ipod [well u never know what opps will come your way right?], 2 mobile phones [one of which I discovered the joys of Facebook on today - well in mobile form]; 2 phone chargers, ipod charger, camera charger and adaptor for transferring data to tablet; tablet charger; AM radio for listing to footy [both phones only do FM]. Think that’s it! [oh and the thumb drive I have just used 10 mins after writing this bit] It’s all well and good really – and I may be partially functional on the boat, but how the hell will I go 5 entire days without Facebook, Google Reader and my subscriptions, 2 email accounts, my gaming, being able to access the footy gossip at a glance as the final round before finals draws close? It’s all very traumatising thinking about it!
Upon consideration – it does not feel very mobile
I was trying to work out tonight if I could replicate my entire blog on Live Writer so that I could do at least SOME of my Challenge work while stuck on the boat in the evenings. After some basic work, it appears I can’t – was a good idea in concept I guess.
So in the spirit of keeping the blog alive, I will attempt to write the semblance of some reasonable posts that won’t involve the use of the internet – a daunting thought – and I will post at the end of the week upon my return, assuming my life and limbs are all safely intact.
So for now, sayonara, au revoir, oo roo until next weekend and happy blogging!
