Hmmm - an interesting one. Currently my blog is called “Professional Development of University Staff” - I created it as a way of reflecting on the use of web2.0 technologies for delivering training and development to the 2000 odd staff in my workplace.
At this point in time however, the posts have been fairly random in nature and the actually content of the original purpose of the blog is still running around solidifying in my head. Starting to think I may need to rename my blog. Will investigate tomorrow.
I subscribe via Google Reader to some great blogs on learning and teaching with technology, but I think that is a cop out from the task if I fell back on that!
Let me surf……….brb
10 mins later….ok proving to be harder than I thought - a LOT of crap out there.
And another 10 mins later…no joy still - but finding some GREAT blogs to subscribe to.
Getting grumpy now grand total of 35 mins on trying to find a community that is not a blog that I will get value from! Determined to find something of value before I go to bed!
I mean……..seriously……maybe like my men, I am too fussy about my communities - I can feel my standards sliding towards the gutter now.
Found an interesting one, but stupid register page is looping back on itself - bah!
I have checked out the Day 3 posts of Cammy Bean, Tim Davies, Alex Miller, Frances McLean, Kate Quinn, Laura Whitehead and of course GoodSue in the vain attempt to find some direction. It looks like this wasn’t an easy exercise for anyone.
Conclusion: after an hour of trying to find something appropriate, it appears that finding a forum of value is a thing that can’t be rushed, even with the chocolate covered carrot in front of ones nose. In this journey, I have managed to subscribe to a number of blogs of interest that I have fallen over. In the interests of me actually getting some sleep - will say loosely that I have achieved the task for tonight. Of course, this will involve me actively interacting within these blogs until a forum of interest and relevance crosses my path.
I am already an active member of a number of online forums, most of which revolve around scuba diving, underwater photography or fish - so in part am on the way. Was really wanting something relating to the use of web2.0 and/or technology and its pedagogical applications to teaching and learning. I would be most grateful for any suggestions!
My pillow and I have a date zzzzzzzz

Not sure you’ll find too many forums on web 2.0/technology. Think most of them have moved on to web 2.0 technology
How about some training forums? Your audience may be hanging out in some of them…..
